What are some tough nitty gritty Dragon Ball Z questions that need answering?

Ok so here are my personal 5:

1. What happened to the Saiyans’ tails?

At first I thought Kami-sama pulled some magic on Goku to permanently remove his tail.

But then Vegeta never grows his tail back after being cut by Yajirobe.

This is the last time we see Vegeta with a tail. Gohan also lost his tail permanently in this fight. And we also never saw Goten and Trunks with tails.

So apparently Kami-sama isn’t required to remove someone’s tail permanently.

2. Why didn’t Future Bulma go to New Namek to revive Piccolo/Kami-sama with their Dragon Balls?

We all know Goku is probably with King Kai after dying from a heart virus.

So he could’ve gotten the location of New Namek and tell Bulma via King Kai. And we know King Kai loves helping Earth when it’s on peril.

But for some reason Bulma’s absurd idea was to create a time machine.

3. Why didn’t Cell die from Goku’s full power Kamehameha?

Cell clearly lost his head entirely, and yet he was able to regenerate.

A few chapters later he clearly states that the regeneration core is in his head. So how did he regenerate?

4. Could Goku have defeated Fat Buu if he had continue the fight?

There’s clearly a lot of contradictions in the Buu saga, specially in the power scaling.

During the fight, we see Goku struggling to damage Fat Buu.

And after the fight we see Goku acknowledging the big probability he would’ve lost to Fat Buu.

But then…

We see Goku saying he felt he could’ve defeated Fat Buu. This statement right here is what makes the power scaling super inconsistent for the Buu saga, which is why many wonder who’s on top of the power hierarchy here.

5. Was the Spirit Bomb really necessary against Kid Buu?

I know this is probably the most iconic Spirit Bomb and it was an awesome finale for the saga, but was it really necessary? I think Goku’s idea made way more sense.

I mean, just Gohan would’ve been more than enough to beat Kid Buu, he’s stronger than Goku and has no stamina issue (I’m not debating this). Add Gotenks SSJ3 to the formula and the fact that they all know Buu can absorb people, so they won’t fall for that again and Kid Buu is gone in an instant. And it is also way less risky than forcefully fully charging the Spirit Bomb.

5.1 How does Vegeta know about the Spirit Bomb?

Who told him about it!? How did he know Goku would’ve been able to gather energy all the way back from Earth?? Is he secretly a fan of Goku???
