Inspired by the Mbombe 6 mine-protected, high-mobility infantry fighting vehicle that is featured in my previous post, I’ve designed a fictional campervan using the Mbombe 6 as the vehicle body and redesigned it, as well as its interior space, to create a one-of-a-kind campervan called “the Mbombe 6 Campervan”. This camper aims to provide users with a comfortable haven, allowing them to experience the charm of nature and a higher quality of life during their journey with a military-style vehicle that can ‘boldly take you where no van has gone before’.
If you’re looking for a time-out from the hustle and bustle of modern society and escape the noisy urban environment to connect with nature, and enjoy moments of tranquility without bumping into dozens of fellow-explorers who wanted to do exactly the same things as you at exactly the same spot at exactly the same time, then this is the vehicle you need. Its six-wheel-drive system, military-grade Michelin tires that provide optimal traction in mud, sand and snow (and has an onboard compressed-air system so you can adjust tire pressure when needed from within the car), and the chassis design mean it can tackle terrain that would be unthinkable for many other cars and campers. The cab is also fitted with air-suspension seats to “provide maximum comfort over rough and relentless terrain.
