During a live broadcast, Aikman mistakenly referred to Swift as Kelce’s ‘missus,’ igniting further rumors that the couple, who have been dating for about a year, may have gotten engaged.
A source close to the couple reached out to TMZ, dismissing the engagement claims as untrue. The insider stated, “It’s not true, and the recent erratic and unfounded speculation is simply a testament to how little the media and overenthusiastic fans actually know about their private lives.”
The source further commented, “Just two days ago, everyone was claiming they had broken up; now they are reportedly secretly engaged? It’s just overwhelming.”
Following the commentary incident, Aikman acknowledged his gaffe, stating on air, “I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that.” However, during a recent episode of Barstool Sports’ podcast Pardon My Take, he hinted that his mistake might not have been a mistake after all, suggesting that he had credible information that Kelce might have already proposed.
