Mohamed Salah’s shirtless selfie shows Liverpool ace is ready for new season

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has showed off his chiselled physique ahead of the Reds’ pre-season training as the Egyptian posted a shirtless selfie to X.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is looking sharp and ready for pre-season training as he poses for a shirtless selfie. The Egyptian endured a difficult final third to the last Premier League season, with Salah struggling to find the back of the net.

Salah was at the top of his game in the first half of the 2023/24 season, scoring some 13 league goals before he left to represent his country in AFCON. However, upon his return Salah appeared to lack sharpness and goals came harder to come by as a result.

In the final months of the season, Salah scored only three league goals — six in all competitions — and some felt the 32-year-old’s was in decline.

Constant speculation surrounding the Saudi Pro League didn’t help matters in the eyes of Reds’ fans, yet the forward has taken to social media, posting a picture of himself looking extremely fit and in good health ahead of a brand new season.

Salah also has a new hairstyle, having shaved his hair off towards the end of last season. Salah showed off his six-pack in the picture, with the forward also looking toned.

Liverpool’s pre-season training will start in the first week of July, with Slot moving it forward a week so he can acclimitize to his new settings faster and get working with the players that aren’t involved in international tournaments for longer.

Those players who are representing their countries at Euro 2024 and the Copa America will report to pre-season training later in the month. Liverpool will also have a pre-season tour of the US in July, with games against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United lined up.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that Salah will still be with the club, with links to the Saudi Pro League refusing to go away (via The Guardian). Liverpool rejected a mega-bid from the league late in the 2023 summer transfer window for the Egyptian, and a second approach could be made this summer.
