When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it.

In a Violent Nature is a 2024 Canadian slasher film written and directed by Chris Nash, and starring Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, and Lauren-Marie Taylor. Described as an “ambient slasher”,it follows a mute killer who is resurrected from his grave in the Ontario wilderness by a group of teenagers, who he then begins stalking and murdering. The events depicted are largely observed from the killer’s perspective.
It is scheduled to be released on the streaming service Shudder later in the year. It has received largely favorable reviews from film critics.
